Edward Henry Gauthier “Ed” age 65, of Holyoke, MA passed away on the early morning of August 2, 2025, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Ed was born in Westfield, MA on March 1st, 1960, to the late Emil and Florence Gauthier. He was raised in Southwick, MA where he attended Southwick Highschool before joining the National Guard. Ed was known for being the life of the party and was always the “Fun Gauthier Brother” He enjoyed many different genres of music, with the Rock Band- Eagles being one of his absolute favorites. Ed was always up for deep sea fishing trips on the Mijoy, Monster Truck Shows, Camping with his family, his famous “hang over breakfast” and enjoyed his Sunday afternoons watching NASCAR whilst sipping Brandy alongside his best friend and big brother David.

Ed leaves his beloved wife Tammy Gauthier of Holyoke, his two daughters Nina Gauthier (Matt) of Westfield, Amanda St. Amand (Marcus) of Westfield, his two stepchildren, Stefanie Heisler of Holyoke, Matthew Heisler (Sara) of Holyoke, and his cherished grandchildren, Kailyanna, Juliana, Emily, Amaiah, Elijah, Alexia, Xavier, Isaiah, Jace and Mason. Ed also leaves his siblings Bruce Gauthier of Westfield, David Gauthier of Holyoke, Raymond Gauthier (Cindy) of Holyoke, Richard Gauthier, William Gauthier (Tuy) of Springfield, Craig Gauthier of Chester, sister Lois Gauthier of Westfield. Ed also leaves many nieces, nephews and his church family at Christ Life Fellowship in South Hadley where he and his wife have been members for many years. Ed is predeceased by his eldest brother Daniel Gauthier and two nephews Peter Gauthier and Craig Gauthier Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Friday August 8 at 6:30pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held prior from 5:00 to 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers and donations, the family asks that donations be made out to Barry J Farrell Funeral Home to help offset costs associated with Edwards’ funeral expenses.
