Edward C. Kallmeyer Obituary

Edward C. Kallmeyer, age 77, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center. Edward was born in Holyoke, son of the late Fred and Vera (Sokolowski) Kallmeyer, and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire University. He worked as an accountant at Allied Printing Services. Edward was a member of First Lutheran Church in Holyoke where he was an “Elder” and tutored math at the First Lutheran school. He would also volunteer at the West Springfield Senior Center, driving people to appointments among other places. He loved to play cards, especially Pitch, and was an avid New England sports fan.

Ed is survived by his loving wife Patricia “Patty” (Sliwa) Kallmeyer; a son Christopher (Chandra Robe) of Melrose; a brother, Fred Kallmeyer, and a sister Dorothy Henry (Robert). Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings George, Gary, and Verna.

The funeral will be held on Friday September 5 at 10:30am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in First Lutheran Church at 11:00am Visitation in the funeral home will take place from 9:00 to 10:30am. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Edward to First Lutheran Church, 1810 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 or a charity of your choice.
