Edward J. Kuzeja

HOLYOKE

Edward J. Kuzeja, age 95, of Holyoke, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Stanley and Anna (Dembski) Kuzeja.  Ed was a graduate of Holyoke High School and attended Holyoke Community College and UMass in Amherst.  He was a United States Army Veteran serving during WWII and later was a Research Technician for James River Graphics for 28 years, retiring in 1993.  Ed was a longtime communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Church and later Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church.   He was a member of the American Legion Post 351.  Ed is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Helen M. (Manijak) Kuzeja; three sons; James E. and his wife Allison of Pepperell, MA, Thomas M. and his wife Jennifer of Norfolk, MA; and William J. and his wife Elizabeth of Waltham, MA; two grandchildren, Jill and Emily; a sister, Christine Coe and her husband William Pliska of Holyoke and many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, Ed was predeceased by his siblings, John, Charles, Mildred, Bertha, Anna, and Stella.  Funeral Services and Burial will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ed to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union Street, Springfield, MA 01105 or a charity of one’s choice.
