Edwin R. Dunn, 86 of Holyoke, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, a son of the late Edwin and Cecile (St. Lawrence) Dunn and was educated in the Holyoke schools. Ed served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1960. He was employed for over 30 years at Nonotuck Wire Company in South Hadley, and had been a member of the Holyoke Auxiliary Police for 12 years. Ed loved talking to everyone! He loved going to tag sales, estate sales and flea markets. He especially loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 ½ years, Judith A. (Casavant) Dunn on January 7, 2025. He was also predeceased by his stepfather, Emmett Dunn, his sisters, Mary (Dunn) McIntosh, and Elaine (Dunn) Rud. Edwin is survived by two daughters, Trudy Bovee of FL, and Lori Rivest of Holyoke; three grandchildren: Kimberly Bovee of FL, Robert Roy, III of Pittsfield, and Jessica Arias of Springfield; five great grandchildren: Robert Roy, IV of CT, Micah, Isaac and Jacob Arias, all of Springfield and Blu Sprague Roy of Pittsfield. Edwin is also survived by his loving brother, William Dunn and his wife Donna of East Bridgewater, MA as well as several loving nieces and nephews. He also leaves his best friend Tom Briotta of Warren, MA. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 12:45pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street followed by committal with Military Honors at 2:00pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours will be held from 11:30am to 12:45pm.
