Eileen M. (Judd) Briant, 65, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2024 at Holyoke Medical Center. Eileen was born and raised in Holyoke, daughter of the late Louis J. and Muriel A. (Powers) Judd. Eileen was a former longtime resident of South Hadley and currently living in Hampton, New Hampshire (Happy Hampton). She retired from the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority. Eileen was a loving wife, nana, aunt, sister and friend. She was a beautiful soul that would help anyone, her radiant smile could light up a room. Eileen loved being at the beach, dancing, singing and traveling. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with family and friends. Although Eileen is gone she will live in our hearts forever.

Eileen is survived by her loving husband John E. Briant with whom she enjoyed so many great memories with, especially at Hampton Beach (Beach Bums). She leaves behind her two sons: Liam (Melissa) Judd of Florida, Evan (Kristi) Briant of South Hadley; three grandchildren: Kiana, Macayla and Mia; Siblings: Louis Judd of Hadley, Mary (Russell) Cabral of Dennis, Michael (Joann) Judd of Holyoke, Bridget Roy of Granby, her niece “daughter” Krystal Ayala and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Eileen leaves behind her brothers-in-law Jay Lamothe, Charles (Laurie) Moran, Thomas Moran, Richard Graves and James (Raquelle) Briant. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Patricia (Patti Lou) Lamothe, Muriel (Nuchie) Hennessey and Kathryn Hoar (and her husband Mike Hoar) as well as her sisters-in-law; Patricia Graves and Kathleen Briant. Eileen was so proud of her two sons who followed her father’s career by Liam being in the Navy and Evan as a Firefighter.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4th from 9:00am to 12noon in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass of Catholic Burial at 12:30pm in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the staff of Holyoke Medical Center for going above and beyond to care for Eileen.
