Eileen M. (O'Connor) Cosgrove, R.N.

Eileen M. (O’Connor) Cosgrove, age 75, died on Monday, July 23, 2018, in The Woodlands, Texas.  Born in Holyoke on June 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late William and Ann (Leslie) O’Connor.  Eileen is survived by her three children: Brian Cosgrove of Houston, Texas, Kellie Cosgrove Riley and her husband John of Arlington, Virginia, and Katie Kozak and her husband Dennis of The Woodlands, Texas; five grandchildren: Connor, Maeve, and Liam Kozak, and Ann Leslie and Colin Riley; her sister Maureen Chevalier, of Ludlow, Massachusetts; and her nieces and nephews: Eileen LaFromboise and her husband Jim, Pamela Flowers and her husband Steve, Bobby Chevalier and his wife Pam, and Mark Chevalier and his wife Janine.  Eileen was a 1961 graduate of Sacred Heart High School and a 1964 graduate of the Providence Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a Registered Nurse for 45 years, working the majority of those years at Holyoke Hospital before retiring in 2006.  Eileen was a long-time parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church and life-long resident of Holyoke, with short detours through Pennsylvania and Rhode Island, before moving to The Woodlands in 2009.  Her children know that her piece of Heaven is well-dusted and organized and will be vacuumed every day whether it needs it or not. The Funeral will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, all in Holyoke.  Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
