Eileen A. Kane

HOLYOKE

Eileen A. (Lynch) Kane, age 75, of Holyoke, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Longmeadow.  She was born in Springfield, a daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Maloney) Lynch.  Eileen was a graduate of Westfield State College where she received both, her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education.  She was a longtime teacher for the Holyoke Public Schools, spending the majority of her career at McMahon School.  She was a member of the Holyoke Teacher’s Association, the MA State Track Coaches Association and the Western MA Track and Field Official’s Association.  Besides, her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen C. “Casey” Kane and a brother, Robert Lynch.  She is survived by her husband, William C. Kane of Holyoke; and two sons:  Christopher Kane, his wife Kaitlyn and their children, Charles and Finnigan, of Weymouth, and Timothy Kane and his wife Grace and their children, Owen and Teagan of Short Hills, NJ; and a sister, Christine Keaney and her husband David of West Springfield, MA.  A Funeral Home Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 6:30pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 5:00 to 6:30pm.  Burial will be held at a later date.  Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Eileen to:  Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
