With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved, Elizabeth Griffin, who left us peacefully on May 10th,2025 at the age of 65 full of love with family and friends. Elizabeth “Betty Ann” was born on July 30th, 1959 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to Clerence and Doris McAuliffe. Elizabeth was raised in Holyoke, Massachusetts where she graduated from Dean High. Betty loved garden swaps, birds, love to travel, loved bingo and casino trips with family and friends. She was a proud Catholic, and a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Belchertown. Elizabeth spent most of her working life at UMass of Amherst as a printer/telephone operator. She was a devoted wife, loving mother,and loving gramie. She is survived by her husband, Michael Griffin, her children Shannon Griffin and Patrick Griffin, and grandchildren Liam Dalhke and Bailey Dalhke, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 17th at 9:45 a.m. at St. Jerome’s Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Calling hours will be held Friday May 16th at the Barry J Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
