Elizabeth Ann (Philpott) Krok, R.N.

Elizabeth Ann (Philpott) Krok, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on Monday January 4, 2021. Elizabeth was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late William and Helen (Glanville) Philpott, and was a graduate of Holyoke High School and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse, most notably at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home and the VA Hospital in Leeds, primarily focused in Gerontological care. Elizabeth was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church and held her faith, family, and friends closely. She is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth “Beth” Krok of Holyoke, and Deborah Aaron and her husband Artie of Arlington, MA; five grandchildren: Isabel Aaron, Benjamin Aaron, Nathaniel Aaron, Jason Krok, and Matthew Krok; five siblings: Alice Reed and husband Tom of Holyoke, Patrick Philpott and his wife Rene of NH, James “Jim”  Philpott and his wife Ellen of Peru, MA, Mary Ellen Bombard of Holyoke, and Kathleen Brown of Holyoke; her sister-in-law Sharlene, former sister-in-law Kathy Philpott, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends. Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved son William F. Krok, Jr. in 2013, and a brother, William Philpott. Due to covid-19 restrictions, the services will be held privately, however the family recognizes and appreciates all of your condolences. The family would like to thank Western Mass ElderCare, the Holyoke VNA, and all of the nursing support given to Elizabeth over the last several years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Elizabeth to the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 or the American Cancer Society, 330 Whitney Ave, #420, Holyoke, MA 01040. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
