Elizabeth "Betty" Fringi

Elizabeth “Betty” Fringi was born in Granville, NY, and passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Holyoke Health Care Center after a short illness. Betty was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Frances (Woodard) Shephard, and her brother Sonny. Betty worked in various positions, including regional manager for Schatz Stationary. In that role, she helped open the new store in the Holyoke Mall. She was also employed by Schermerhorn’s Seafood in Holyoke. Betty is survived by her significant other, John Beis, Jr. of Holyoke with whom she resided. She is also survived by her sisters, Emaline Shephard and Gloria Young (Allen); her niece, Tonya Summer (John); and her grand-nephews, Joshua and Nicholas Summer, all of Granville, NY. A Funeral Service will be held for Betty on Thursday, December 30 at 10:00 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by burial in Forestdale Cemetery West, Rock Valley Road. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
