Eric Stanley Boruch Obituary

Eric died in peace in the presence of his loving wife of 55 years, Eva, and his son and daughter. He was born in Poland, a son of the late Stanislaw and Irena (Kuczka) Boruch and came to the United States in 1950, settling in Connecticut. After graduating from NFA, he joined the United States Navy in 1959, spending six years on active duty and in the reserves. He was one of the seamen to Christen the USS Kitty Hawk in 1965 and served on her honorably. Eric was employed at Travelers Insurance for over 37 years and also spent several years as a welder at the Groton Sub Base in CT. He was a member of Polish National Alliance Group 1220 for more than 33 years, and served as its’ secretary.


Eric is survived by his wife, Eva (Weinert) Boruch; a son Krzysztof, a daughter Iwona and her fiancé Peter Stasz, as well as many close friends from New Hampshire and brother in CT and niece Jenny in CT. He will be reunited with his in-laws, Zbislaw and Nelli Weinert, his brother John, and a few cousins and niece in Poland. May God Bless him on his way to Heaven.


The funeral will be held Monday, March 30 at 9:45 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in the Basilica of Saint Stanislaus, 566 Front Street, Chicopee. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 29 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
