Felizmino Lourenco Neves, 92, of Holyoke passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Felizmino was born in Corujeira, Guarda district, Portugal on November 30, 1930 to Maria Luisa Neves and Francisco Lourenco. He leaves his daughters, Luiza Neves Berman and Maria De Lurdes Marques Neves. He was predeceased by the love of his life and spouse for 53 years, Lucillia Marques Neves, and his beloved son, Fernando Manuel Lourenco. He also leaves his sons-in-law, Kenny Berman and Zupo Zukowski, and daughter-in-law, Christine Gavin Lourenco. Felizmino cherished being an avô to his grandchildren, Alexandra Luiza Neves Puffer (her fiancé Andrew Rees), Emily Maria Puffer, Patrick Joseph Lourenco, and Gavin Marie Lourenco. His siblings were his best friends and he revered the gift of his family’s enduring bond. He is survived by his sister, Lurdes (Neves) Coelho (Jose, predeceased) of Coimbra, Portugal, and sisters-in-law, Clotilde Neves (Arménio Lourenco Neves, predeceased), Marinette Neves (Antonio Lourenco Neves, predeceased), and Gloria Neves (Augusto Lourenco Neves, predeceased) of Holyoke. He was predeceased by infant siblings and his siblings, Emilia Lourenco Neves Paixão (Francisco); Manuel Lourenco (Maria dos Anjos); José Lourenco (Amelia); Joaquim Lourenco (Maria da Luz); Amandio Neves (Antonietta); Clara Neves Morgado (Manuel); and Orlindo Lourenco Neves (Irene). He cherished each of his nieces and nephews and all members of the extended Lourenco-Neves, Marques and Santos families. Felizmino was a farmer before he immigrated to Holyoke in 1970 with his family. He retired from Dual Manufacturing. Felizmino had steadfast faith and was a communicant of Saint Jerome Parish. His wisdom, mischief, and impeccable style will always be fondly remembered. The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 9:00 am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street, both in Holyoke. Burial will follow in Saint Jerome Cemetery, also in Holyoke. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
