HOLYOKE

Florence (Jolivet) Lobik, age 86 passed away on Thursday May 28, 2020 at DayBrook Village in Holyoke. Florence was born in Holyoke on November 10, 1933, daughter of the late Joseph and Stacia (Borlikowski) Jolivet and was educated in the Holyoke Schools. She was an Orthodontic Assistant and Office Manager for Ira D. Gilbert Orthodontics for many years. Florence loved cooking and entertaining, especially for her family. She also enjoyed knitting and crafts. Florence is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Charles R. Lobik. Florence and Charles would have been celebrating 68 years of marriage on September 1, 2020. Florence also leaves behind a daughter, Cynthia J. Horne of Hampden; a son Stephen C. Lobik and his wife Lisa of Monson; and her five grandchildren: MacGregor and Nathan Horne and Nicholas, Nathaniel, and Camille Lobik, who all held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins that she adored. Florence was predeceased by two brothers Richard and David Jolivet. Services will be held at a later date. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
