Gary S. Pelter

HOLYOKE

Gary S. Pelter, age 55, of Holyoke, died Saturday March 21, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1964 to the late Van Pelter, Jr. and Margaret “Peg” (Gaffney) Pelter in Springfield, MA. Gary leaves behind his wife, Susan J. (Buckley) Pelter; his children: Allison Pelter of Hampden, ME and Raymond Pelter of Littleton, CO; his brothers: Van Pelter III, Michael Pelter and his wife Eva, his sister, Lori Richards, and many nieces and nephews. Gary was a very devoted husband and father who enjoyed his children’s sporting activities and vacationing at Lake George, NY. He was the owner of Christy’s Autobody in Agawam, MA, from which he retired in 2018. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and NASCAR fan. Gary loved his grand-dog and best buddy Zoey immensely. He enjoyed all his visits from family and friends, especially his honorary mother, Esther Sherrit, and sister MJ and Cindy. Due to current concerns for everyone’s health, a Memorial Service will be held at a future date to be determined and announced.
