Genowefa (Siwik) Nawolski, age 98, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Genowefa was born in Pomian, Poland, daughter of the late Alexander and Helena (Sutkowska) Siwik and emigrated to the United States in 1966. She worked here for American Advertising Corporation and at Dinn Brothers Trophies. Genowefa was a communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Church, and currently Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph K. Nawolski. She is survived by a son Andrew Urbanowicz and his wife Raelene of Holyoke; six grandchildren: Sylvia Sullivan, Monika Almodovar, Yvonne Urbanowicz, Adam Urbanowicz, Andy Tyszka, and Adam Tyszka; and 8 great grandchildren: Jacob, Alexander, Zofia, Amelia, Elia, Luca, Julita, and Arthur.
Genowefa was predeceased by her loving daughter Maria Teresa Tyszka and her sister Cecylia Olszewska.
The funeral will be held on Friday March 13 at 10:30am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church. Burial is in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Visitation will take place in the funeral home on Friday from 8:30 to 10:30am.
