George J. Breault, Jr.

CHICOPEE:  George J. Breault, Jr., age 70, of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born in Holyoke, son of Katherine C. (McClain) Breault of TX and the late George J. Breault and was educated in local schools.  George was in the United States Marine Corps. He had worked at Digital Corporation and later taught in area public schools. George enjoyed camping, fishing, the Jets, the Beatles and a good cup of coffee. His driving force of his happiness was his family and his service dog…Robbie. Besides his mother, he is survived by two daughters:  Dawn Duquette (husband Andre) and Kim Lachance, also four grandsons: Quinton Duquette & Devin Duquette and Jake Lachance & Ryan Lachance; two brothers, Mark J. Breault (wife Tammy) and Gerald J. Breault (wife Maria) four sisters; Dee Rimbold, Kathleen Chaffee (husband Gil), Darlene Jackson (husband Steve) and Doreen Freeman (husband Jason); and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides his father, George was predeceased by his sister; Patty Ann Klimczyk.  A Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by Committal with Military Honors at 10:00 a.m.in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam.  Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
