EASTHAMPTON: Gerald A. “Jerry” Spear, age 69, of Easthampton, passed away at home on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born in Springfield, son of the late Alfred and Carol (Loretta) Spear and was a self-employed hardwood floor installer. Jerry loved hiking, mountain climbing and Kung Fu. He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Fleurent) Spear; four children: Adam and his partner Candice; Matthew; Jennifer Arris and her husband Daniel and Amy Medugno and her husband Matthew; six grandchildren: Chance, Faith, Emily, Anna, Clara and Nora; and one great granddaughter, Magnolia. Jerry also leaves a brother, George Spear and his wife Barbara, three sisters, Christine Jagodowski and her husband Joe, Lorraine Spear, Linda Thouin and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jerry was predeceased by a brother, Martin Spear. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. A Funeral Home Service will be held at 6:00pm.
