Gertrude B. (Renaud) Rosienski

HOLYOKE

Gertrude B. (Renaud) Rosienski,our beloved mother, also known as Gert, Mem and Meme to family and friends, age 95, of Holyoke, was called safely home in to the arms of the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield on September 27, 1922, the beloved daughter of the late Louis E. Renaud Sr. and Eva (Woisard) Renaud. Gertrude was a longtime employee of the Holyoke Geriatric Authority, retiring in 1995. She is survived by her loving children, many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister and brother's, Felicite E. Kinsey, Louis E. Renaud Jr., Alberic O. Renaud and Orile P. Renaud. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church and later Our Lady of the Valley Church. A funeral mass was held in Our Lady of the Valley Church in Easthampton on Friday, September 14, 2018 with burial in St. Rose De Lima cemetery in Chicopee. The family wishes to give their greatest and warmest gratitude to all of those who provided assistance with her care in recent years. Donations may be made in Gert’s memory to any charity of one’s choice. Gert will always be remembered for her unconditional love and devotion to her family and her faith. You have given so much and always asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, for teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, and loving us. We will all work hard to reach the high moral standard you set, as you always said, "The sun shines on everyone ". Farewell sweet Mother. You were simply magnificent.
