HOLYOKE

Gervaise C. “Ginger” (Roy) Gilbert, age 96, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2021 at the Holyoke Health Care Center. Gervaise was born in St. Pie, Quebec, Canada daughter of the late Wilfred and Clara (Auger) Roy and was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Schools in Holyoke. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo A. Gilbert in 1997. Ginger is survived by two daughters: Jeanne Poirier and Denise Scalzo (William); four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Yvette Gilbert in 2016, four brothers and three sisters. Services for Ginger will be private at this time.
