Grace (Oliveri) O'Donald Obituary

Grace (Oliveri) O’Donald, 77, of Holyoke, passed away on August 30, 2024. She was born in New York City, daughter of the late Rudolfo and Nellie Oliveri and had lived in Holyoke for many years. Grace began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1980, working at Providence Hospital. She went back to school at Springfield Technical Community College to earn her degree as a Registered Nurse and graduated from there in 1994. Grace worked as an R.N. in various capacities at many local nursing homes and in behavioral health at Providence Hospital. She also worked as the Occupational Health Nurse at Yankee Candle Company, and as a nurse coordinator for patients at the Cataract Eye & Laser Surgical Center. In total, Grace had a forty- year career in the nursing field, where she made many lasting friendships and touched countless patients’ lives. She was the widow of Arthur J. O’Donald. Grace is survived by her sister, Connie Lavelle, her son A.J. and wife Alison, grandchildren Lauren and Joey, and a niece Nicole Sanford and husband Phil and their children, Ashton and Emma. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 14th at 5:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
