Helen V. (Cahill) Brewster Obituary
Helen V. (Cahill) Brewster, commonly known as “Sis,” age 87, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at Day Brook Village in Holyoke. Helen was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Francis and Helen (Bigelow) Cahill. She worked for many years for the Sisters of Providence Senior Care until her retirement.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, William E. Brewster, in February.
She is survived by her sister, Cheryl Leary, and her husband, Christopher, of Enfield, CT. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Richard Cahill, and his wife, Ann, of Westfield, MA. Helen will be missed by her niece, Theresa Helein, and her husband, Jim of Sterling, Virginia, and her niece, Erin Williams, and her husband, Rick, of Rhode Island. Helen also leaves behind her nephew, Christopher Clark, and his wife, Tina, of Lyles, Tennessee. Another nephew, Christopher Cahill, predeceased Helen. Helen is survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews, in addition to numerous cousins, their families, and friends.
Visiting hours for both Helen and William will take place on June 11, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial prayer service at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. This will be followed by the inurnment together at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, at 11:00 am.
