Helen B. (Bernard) Reopell

Helen B. (Bernard) Reopell, age 91, of Ware, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 4, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born in Hamden, CT, a daughter of the late Harry and Annabella (Fleming) Bernard and was educated there. Helen had worked as a realtor, then later was employed as a sales representative at Avery Dennison, retiring many years ago. She was the widow of Earl J. Reopell, Sr., who predeceased her on October 9, 2015. Helen is survived by her children: Carol Tanner and her husband Mike, Earl J. Reopell, Jr., Helen McKenna and her husband Russ, Andy Reopell and his wife Kris, Cindi Reopell and her husband Don Watts, and Diane Reopell; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Helen was predeceased by an infant son, Gary Reopell; a sister, Mary Bentley; and three brothers: Andrew, David, and Harry Bernard. All services for Helen will be private and are being handled by the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home in Holyoke. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baystate Hospice, 20 Capital Drive, West Springfield, MA 01089.
