Helen M. (Barut) Wytrych, age 93, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Jaffrey, NH. She was born in Holyoke, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Gonet) Barut and was a 1950 graduate of Holyoke High School. Helen was a retired cashier at Stop & Shop, and enjoyed volunteering at the Holyoke Senior Center as well as at the former Mater Dolorosa Parish. She also enjoyed travelling, cooking, and playing Bingo. Helen was the widow of Edward W. Wytrych who predeceased her on June 26, 2016. She is survived by three children: Darlene M. Donahue and husband William of Rindge, NH, Edward W. Wytrych and wife Susan of Feeding Hills, and Carol Hoskins of Chicopee; 7 Grandchildren: Ryan and Connor Wytrych, Melinda James, Andrew, Jacob and Caleb Donahue, and Shania Hoskins; 4 great-grandchildren: Luke James, Levi Donahue, Lainey and Beau Donahue, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Helen was predeceased by a daughter Linda, and two sisters, Camilla Tougas and Virginia Drainville. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:45 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass at 11:15 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton Street. Committal will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Diabetes Association, or the American Red Cross.
