I. Richard Johnson Obituary

Rick Johnson, 72, passed away on November 14th at home. He was born to the late Miriam (McLeod) and Richard H. Johnson, and lived most of his life in So. Hadley. He graduated from So. Hadley High School in 1972 and was a proud member of the So. Hadley Tiger Marching 100. He was an avid sports fan, especially of his beloved N.Y. Yankees.


Rick is survived by his niece Rachel and her husband Darius Plotnikiewicz, and his first wife Donna (Bergeron) who he remained close friends with. He was predeceased by his sister Deborah (Ilnicki).


A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 31 at 10:00am in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours are Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00am. 


Memorial contributions can be made in his name to Shriners Children's Organization.
