Irene (Pietrzyk) Brown, 91, of Holyoke, was called to her heavenly home on March 23, 2025. She was laid to rest in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery during a private gathering on March 28, 2025. Born in Holyoke, Irene was a lifelong resident of that city. She was a graduate of Holyoke High School, and a member of Mater Dolorosa Rosa Church. Irene cherished time spent visiting with her family and friends and vacationing with family on Cape Cod. Devoted to her husband Allan Brown, of 70 years, she was a wonderful wife, homemaker, and mother to her children Bobby, Steven (Cheryl), Janice (Rob) and Linda (Christopher). Irene adored her grandchildren Nicholas, Christopher (Lauren) and great granddaughter Natalie. Irene was also an avid New York Yankees fan. Her family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful nurses, doctors, and aides who cared for her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
