Irene (Rioux) Kopeski, age 98, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026. Irene was born in Rimouski, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Ferdinand Rioux and Emilie Rioux (Levesque). She worked locally for Eureka for 20 years before retiring in 1997.

Irene was predeceased by her husband Stanley C. Kopeski, Jr. in 2012. She is survived by five sons: Joe, Rich, Pat, Mark, and Lou Kopeski; and six grandchildren.

Irene will be buried at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam on Thursday April 23 at 9:00am. There are no calling hours. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
