James A. Malboeuf Obituary
James (Jim) Malboeuf, age 82, of Holyoke passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Holyoke Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Holyoke, Jim was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Denehy) Malboeuf. He served with the United States Army and was employed at EH Fredericks as a spray painter for over 30 years. Jim is survived by his wife, Marsha Malboeuf of Holyoke MA; a daughter, Kristin Kwisnek and her husband Lou of Granby MA; a son, Jason Malboeuf of Holyoke MA; and a grandson, Devin Kwisnek of Granby MA. He also leaves two sisters-in-law, Marie Archambault of North Carolina and Leah St. Jacques and her husband Peter of South Hadley, as well as a brother-in-law, Gary LaBreque of Vermont. Jim was the epitome of a "Grumpy Old Man" but loved by his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife Marsha. Jim & Marsha were High School sweethearts and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this August. Jim and his wife were seasonal campers at Camparama Campground in Vermont for 18 years. He loved the campground and the many friends he had made there. His hobbies included collecting coins, watching the Western and History Channels and playing cards with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and especially loved going deep sea fishing with his son-in-law on his boat. Jim was known to his close friends as "Jimbo" or "Cowboy" never leaving home without his cowboy hat and boots. He was very patriotic, respected the United States flag and those who served their country. He was extremely proud of his grandson Devin and loved spending time with him. He enjoyed going to his business and seeing all the projects he was working on. He was also quite happy to sit in Devins backyard and watch work being done. Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by two sisters; Judy LaBreque of Vermont and Mary Willis of Wisconsin. At Jim's request no services will be held, except a private burial for his immediate family only.
