Janet B. (Barrar) Lussier

Janet B. (Barrar) Lussier, age 93, of South Hadley, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday April 19, 2022. She was born in Fitchburg MA, daughter of the late William H. and Marion (Cashman) Barrar and had lived in Somerset before moving to Holyoke in 1957. Janet and her late husband Raymond raised their family in Holyoke and after his death Janet moved to South Hadley. She was a longtime member of the Providence Hospital Auxiliary and Red Hat Society.  Janet also loved to travel when her husband was alive and Cape Cod was her favorite vacation destination.  She was predeceased by her husband, J. Raymond Lussier on September 1, 2007. Janet is survived by five children: Michael and his wife Robbin of South Hadley, Mark and his wife Debra of West Springfield, Robert of Holyoke, Gaye Harris and her husband Mickey of Wilbraham, and Suzanne Cycz and her husband Ted of Whately; eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial for Janet on Wednesday, April 27th at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Theresa of Lisieux Church, 9 East Parkview Drive, South Hadley. Burial will follow at Saint Rose Cemetery, South Hadley. There are no calling hours. Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home in Holyoke is handling services.
