Jean M. (Roy) Ledoux

Jean M. Ledoux (Roy), 81, formerly of Springfield, recently of Holyoke passed away on April 2, 2026 at her son’s home in Westfield surrounded by her loving and devoted family following a long illness. In her early years she was born and raised in Aldenville section of Chicopee, MA. She moved to Springfield when she married her husband Rick where she raised her 3 children, Lorrie, Dean, and Daryl. She worked for K &M electronics for many years, 3E Corporation, Encore and Springfield Wire. Jean loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially at holiday gathers where she sat at the head of the table. She loved the beach and spending time by the pool. In recent years she spent her time playing Bingo and Pokeno with her friends at her residence in Holyoke. Though her illness limited her, she was always determined to enjoy life whether spending time with her grandchildren or just being with you watching a good show. She often gave to others selflessly and only wanted happiness to those around her. Her family already misses her presence sitting at the head of the table at holiday gatherings.

She is survived by her children, Dean Ledoux and his wife Kristine, Daryl Ledoux and his wife Lisa. Grandchildren; Jennifer, Megan, Katie (Jonathan), Shelbee (Giovon), Allison, Dominic and Sarah. She also leaves behind a great granddaughter My’Angeline. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick E. Ledoux Jr., daughter Lorrie Smith, her parents Aime and Doris Roy, along with her brother Robert. Special thanks to her friends Enid, Marelene, Evelyn and Suzanne in Holyoke that gave her such joy and companionship.

A prayer service will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Beacon Hospice or an animal rescue of choice.
