Joan C. (Paszko) Rush Obituary

Joan C. Rush passed away on December 27, 2025 at Holyoke Medical Center after a prolonged illness. She was born in Holyoke on July 22, 1942, graduated from Holyoke High School, and was a lifelong resident of Southampton. She was employed at Vanguard Savings Bank as Vice-President of Marketing for twenty-two years. Joan had a successful business called “The Farmers Daughter’, specializing in women’s shirts. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Stephen and Genevieve Paszko, her husband Tom, son Bob, and sister Emily Fitzgerald. She is survived by a son, Terry Rush, a sister Shirley Anop and husband Victor, as well as several close nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friend, Kathy Franz. Joan also loved her cat, “Smokey”, gardening, reading novels, and her Marco Island winter get-away. A private family service and funeral is being handled by the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home in Holyoke.
