Joan Jeny Tetreault

Joan Jeny Tetreault, 67, of West Springfield, passed away September 12, 2023 in her home. Joan was born in Westover AFB, Chicopee, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Robert N. and Jeny (Chieko) Tetreault.  

She is survived by her siblings: Robert N. Tetreault, Jr., Theresa Tetreault, and Leo Paul Tetreault. 

Joan also leaves her nieces and nephews, Laura Maspo Rob Tetreault, Craig Tetreault, Tara Brewster, Michael Tetreault and cousins Carolyn, Donna and Theresa Hawks 

Beloved Joan was a spiritual lady with a great sense of humor and loved to chat. Joan also loved to watch football. She was an avid New England Patriots fan especially during the Tom Brady era. Joan would converse about a game enthusiastically with her  "Bro" as she referred  to her brother-in-law Uwe.

Joan was not only a hard worker but an intelligent lady. Joan learned to speak some Polish and German over the years. We would text on an almost daily basis with a sentence or two in German.  She would text "Guten Morgen Schwester und Bruder wie gehts?" Which translates to good morning sister and brother how are you today? My little sister Joan will be truly missed and always in my heart your Schwester.

Visitation will be held on 21 September in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, from 10:00am to 11:00am.

A prayer service will take place at 10:30am followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart association, Arthritis Foundation, or Sisters of Providence spsmw.org
