John W. Kirley

John W. Kirley, age 79, formerly of Holyoke, died January 22, 2020 in Brooksville, Florida. John was born in Holyoke, son of the late Thomas and Kathryn (Hennessey) Kirley, was educated in the Holyoke Public School System, and graduated from Holyoke High School. He was formerly employed by the American Writing Paper Corp., the Atlas Copco Company, and Walmart Company. His wife Sharon (Whitelock) Kirley died in 1997. John is survived by his daughter, Ellen Hennessy, wife of Mark Hennessy; two sons: Thomas Kirley and Robert Kirley; grandchildren: Rozilyn, Jozette, Sean, Robbie, Jonathon, and Marissa Kirley, and Connor and Aiden Hennessy; a great grandchild, Anthony Johnson; his sister, Sr. Kathleen Kirley, SSJ of Holyoke; and many cousins. A wake will be held on Saturday February 15 from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street. A prayer service will take place in the funeral home at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Jerome Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Mont Marie Chapel.
