John G. Martin

John G. Martin, age 61, of Easthampton, formerly of Holyoke, died at home May 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after recently being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Born in Fulham, London, England, John came to the United States in 1964. He attended Holyoke Schools. John worked in retail management, mostly at Sears, and recently switched careers, working as a courier for Quest Diagnostics.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 37 years Donna (Winsky) Martin; two children: Allison Martin (Christopher Bays) with granddaughter Charlotte; Sean Martin (Margaret Gates) with grandson Spencer; his beloved dog Gus; siblings, Steve Martin (Lisa) Bill Martin (Laurie), and Joanne Sullivan (Neil), as well as many nieces and nephews, and in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents John and Maureen (North) Martin.

John loved being a grandparent. He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved golfing, traveling, especially cruising, and listening to live music.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday May 26, 2023 at 11:00am in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
