Jorge O. Rojas, age 57, of Holyoke, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He was born in Medellin, Colombia a son of the late Pedro Luis and Aura D. (Agudelo) Rojas and lived in Holyoke for most of his life. Jorge attended Holyoke High School, and worked in the textile industry for many years. He was always available to help any of his family or friends when something needed to be built or repaired. He was a very talented handyman. Jorge was a faithful communicant of both Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Saint Jerome Parish. He is survived by a daughter, Kayla LeBlanc; his siblings: Ligia Calderon, Martha S. Rivera (Victor), Luz M. Rojas, Reinaldo Rojas, Ignacio Rojas (Maria), Pedro P. Rojas (Carmen), Carlos M. Rojas (Karen), and Jesus Rojas, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jorge was predeceased by a sister, Zoraida Acevedo (Miguel) and a brother, Luis Gonzalo Rojas (Martha). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jorge on Tuesday, October 22nd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Jerome Church, 169 Hampden Street, Holyoke. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
