Joseph A. Francis

HOLYOKE

Joseph Adam Francis, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2021 at Day Brook Village in Holyoke. Joe was born in Springfield, Massachusetts son of the late Joseph R. and Genevieve (Walsh) Francis and was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. Joe worked at Metropolitan Life as a Financial Advisor for many years, was a lifetime member at the Holyoke YMCA, a member of the American Legion Post 325 and the Easthampton Rod & Gun Club.  Joe had a great love of the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by, Susan F. (Higgins) Francis; three children:  Thomas Werbiskis and his wife Wendy of Easthampton, Joseph Francis II of Holyoke, Amy Wegrzyn and her partner Everett Sexton of Chicopee; four grandchildren: Lindsey Werbiskis, Samantha Wegrzyn, and Alison Wegrzyn. Sadly, he was predeceased by his grandson Daniel Werbiskis as well his siblings, George Francis and Cindy Francis. Calling hours will be held for Joe on Wednesday July 7 from 4:00 to 7:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial with Military Honors will be held privately.
