Joseph Kot, III

Joseph Kot III, age 71, of Holyoke, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, a son of the late Joseph F., Jr. and Laura (Marion) Kot, attended Mater Dolorosa School, and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. Joe went on to obtain a Bachelors Degree from UMASS and a Masters Degree from UCONN, and then worked as Clinical Social Worker, retiring after 46 years of work from Monson Developmental Center. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins, and cherished fond memories of swimming in the lakes in Belchertown and New Hampshire. Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mildred M. (Dodge) Kot; his sons, Matthew and Andrew Kot, both of Holyoke; his sisters, Mary Tokas and her husband Ed of St. Louis, MO, and Elaine Cat and her companion Dick of Belchertown; several nieces, and many cousins. All services for Joe will be private and are being handled by the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104.
