CHICOPEE
Joseph A. Rydzak, Sr., 71, of Bluebird Circle, Chicopee, passed away on Saturday October 24, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center following a long illness. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Joseph P. and Pearl M. (Destromp) Rydzak. Joseph is survived by his wife of 42 years, Inez T. (Griffith) Rydzak; three children: Joseph A. Rydzak, Jr. and his son Ryan A. Rydzak; Jason A. Rydzak and his wife Meaghan (O’Connell) Rydzak and their children Kadan, Lilliah Belle, Khloie, and Zacharia; and Jessica A. Rydzak and her daughter Aidalee Pearl Rivera and her fiancée Angel Rivera; a brother, John P. Rydzak and his wife Linda (Baker) Rydzak and their children John P. Rydzak, Cynthia and Paul Hobert, Rebecca and Dennis Birks; and several nieces and nephews.
He attended Holyoke Schools and was an officer of Fairview and South Hadley Sporting Club. His favorite times were spent teaching his children, nieces and nephews, and the Provost boys, how to hunt and fish. Joseph was co-owner of J.R. Drywall Inc. of Holyoke prior to his disability. His time hunting and fishing and time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, were his biggest enjoyment. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, October 31st at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Avenue, Holyoke. The Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
