Joseph G. "Joe" Williams

Joseph George Williams, of Holyoke, and formerly of Hampton Beach, NH, died at home on April 7, 2023. Joe was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, son of the late George E. and Celena (Hession) Williams and was a graduate of Cathedral High School Class of 1966 and AIC in Springfield. He was the longtime proprietor of the Mari-Anne Motel in Hampton Beach. Joe was a helpful and friendly neighbor and friend who always took the time to connect with people. He will be missed by many, including his siblings: George M. Williams and his wife Carole of Pike, NH, Maureen Cadieux and her husband Jim of East Longmeadow, Michael E. Williams and his wife Deb of Springfield, and John Williams and his wife Linda of Westfield, as well as several nieces and nephews, and his longtime companion, Jane Kane of Holyoke. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Anne Marie Bono, and beloved pet parrot of 34 years, "Moose." A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 11:00 am in Mary Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd., Springfield, followed by burial in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours are Friday, April 14 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke.
