It is with both sadness and love that we remember Joshua "Josh" McPherson, a devoted father, loving husband, cherished son, beloved brother, and friend to many, who passed away on August 10, 2024. Born and raised in Holyoke, Josh was the son of Bruce and Ann Marie (Czarneicki) McPherson and was educated in the Holyoke schools. Josh was known for his vibrant personality and his incredible sense of humor that could brighten any room. Whether at home or at work, he had an infectious laugh that brought joy to those around him. As a Team Leader at Hollingsworth Logistics, Josh was not only admired for his leadership but also for the way he made each day a little more fun and a little more lighthearted for his colleagues. Josh's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband to Ashley (Bissell) McPherson and a loving father to their precious daughter, Sophie McPherson. He found happiness in the simple things: playing with Sophie, sharing a laugh with his wife, or cracking jokes with his brothers and sister. Josh is survived by his wife Ashley and daughter Sophie, his mother Ann Marie McPherson, his father Bruce McPherson and his wife Christine, his grandmother Janice Gogol, his four brothers: Jared, Joey, Alec, and Anthony, and his sister Leah. He also leaves behind many extended family members and in-laws who will remember him for the love and laughter he brought into their lives. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 17, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Though Josh has left us too soon, his legacy of love, laughter, and positivity will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
