Joyce M. (Fallon) O’Neil, age 87, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024. Joyce was born in North Adams, Massachusetts daughter of the late Martin and Marie (Gerard) Fallon, before moving to Holyoke where she attended Blessed Sacrament School. Joyce was a graduate of Westfield State College and was a special education teacher in the South Hadley public school system for many years. She was predeceased by her husband William J. O’Neil II in 1988. She is survived by five children: William J. O’Neil III, Michael O’Neil, Robert O’Neil, Nancy Murphy, and Matthew O’Neil; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister Janice Larrow; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Martin Fallon. A prayer service will be held on Friday November 22 at 12noon in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by burial in Saint Jerome Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
