Judith M. (Flynn) Judd, age 83, of Holyoke, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Thomas L. and Julia (Sheehan) Flynn and was a 1956 graduate, as well as a proud cheerleader, of Holyoke High School. Judy worked as a Clerk at the Holyoke Water Department for 26 years, retiring in 1999. Judy was a member of the Women's Recreational Athletic Program where she loved to play on the broom hockey team. She was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of The Cross Church in Holyoke. She enjoyed traveling to fairs making fried dough with her friends, playing pitch at the War Memorial, and working at a Catholic gift shop in South Hadley. She helped establish the Volleyball Hall of Fame and volunteered at the Holyoke Merry Go Round. She leaves behind her brother, Jack Flynn, of Holyoke as well as her five loving sons and their families: Timothy and his wife Lynn of Southampton, Thomas and his wife Laurie of Agawam, Jerome and his wife Cathleen of Springfield, Andrew of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Matthew of Holyoke. Judy was a proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, one predeceased, and eight great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, on Thursday, April 21st from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, with a Prayer Service planned for 5:45 pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of The Cross Church in Holyoke.
