June E. (Belaire) Mitrowski Obituary

June E. Mitrowski, age 95, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025 surrounded by loving family. June was born on November 20, 1929, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She lived a vibrant and fulfilling life dedicated to her family, community, and passions.

June graduated from Holyoke High School in 1947. Over the years, she rarely missed a class reunion. In later years, she embarked on a rewarding career as a Travel Associate with Delta Airlines in Chicago and Piedmont Airlines in Baltimore. This role fueled her professional growth and allowed her and her husband, Bob, to travel extensively to many beautiful places.

Her commitment to community service was admirable. June was an active volunteer at the Holyoke Home Center, where she knitted blankets for the Armed Services. She also taught English as a second language during her years on Cape Cod. She held significant roles, such as the Holyoke Women's Society secretary and the secretary/treasurer of the Orchard's Ladies' Golf League. Her dedication to these roles highlighted her altruistic nature and desire to contribute positively to her community.

June's hobbies included knitting, cross-stitch, oil painting, and golf, a sport in which she particularly excelled. These activities were not just pastimes but a significant part of her identity, showcasing her artistic talents and competitive spirit on the golf course. In later years, June and Bob enjoyed their winter months in Florida, soaking up the sun and playing golf.

She leaves behind a loving family: her husband of 59 years, Robert Mitrowski; her twin sister and husband, Joan and Steve Smith of San Diego, CA; her children, Daniel Mulvenna, Judith Hunter, Patricia and Robert Ericson, Barbara and William Delaney, Lynn and James Szatrowski, Robert and Laura Mitrowski; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola Belaire, and her brother, Wesley Belaire, who died in World War II.

A legacy of love, resilience, and community service marks June's life. Her memory will be cherished and preserved in the multitude of lives she touched.
