Karen Stevenson Obituary

HOLYOKE: Karen Lee (Moynihan) Stevenson, 70, of Holyoke passed away on Friday November 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in South Hadley to the late Phyllis (Englehardt) and Maurice Moynihan, and was a 1969 graduate of South Hadley High School.  Karen worked for many years at Stop and Shop where she met many of her closest friends.

Karen is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Raymond, and her five children: Scott Stevenson and his wife Ellen, Gregg Stevenson and his wife Alexandra, Tina Miller and her husband Seth, Kyle Stevenson and his wife Heather and Sean Stevenson and his wife Melissa; 10 grandchildren: Collin, Jack, Adam, Sarah, Brendan, Ella Bella, Carter, Maisie Mae, Brooks, Ryan (RJ) and one grand-dog Nash. She is also survived by her three siblings: Sandy Early, Patti Moynihan and Michael Moynihan.

To know Karen was to love her and to have her as a mother and wife was a true blessing. She was full of compassion, love, unselfishness and strength. Her unrelenting pursuit to live was to cherish as much time as possible with her beloved family.

She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, watching game shows, reading, playing on her iPad, crossword puzzles, soap operas, shopping and all holidays but loved Christmas most of all. She enjoyed looking out her kitchen window at all the beautiful flowers and birds. Karen loved traditions and her favorite place in the world was on vacation with her family in Wildwood, New Jersey.

The world lost one of the kindest souls when Karen left us. She will be forever loved, remembered and missed by all.
