Katherine Carol (McClain) Breault Obituary

Katherine (Kay) C. Breault, age 87, of Venus, Texas, formally from Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026, surrounded by family after a brief but aggressive illness.

Born on December 10, 1938, in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Kay was the daughter of Joseph and Rita (Peloquin) McClain and the wife of George J. Breault Sr. (deceased). Throughout her life, Kay was known for her strength, her fierce love for her family, and her straightforward nature.

Kay spent many years as a supervisor at Dinn Brothers Trophies, where she was admired for her strong work ethic, dedication, and steady leadership. She was deeply respected by her colleagues and fondly known as “Grandma,” a reflection of the care, guidance, and warmth she extended to everyone around her.

Outside of work, Kay found her greatest joy in time spent with her family. She loved playing Yahtzee and rummy, watching Hallmark movies, cooking with her family, working on puzzles, and completing her cherished word search books. She also enjoyed traveling, especially cruising and visiting tropical destinations with her family. Among her most treasured memories were the many moments shared at the family beach house, a place that held a special and lasting place in her heart. Kay was rich beyond measure in family and love, and she will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Kay is survived by her loving children, Kathleen Chaffee and her husband Gilbert, Mark Breault and his wife Tammy, Darlene Jackson and her husband Steven, Dr. Doreen Freeman and her husband Jason, and Gerald Breault and his wife Maria. She was a proud and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and generations of descendants who brought her immense joy. Kay is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews, as well as her dear brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George J. Breault, Sr.; her son, George J. Breault, Jr.; her daughters, Dee Rimbold and Patty Ann Klimczyk; and her many brothers and sisters, as she was one of nineteen children.
