Kay died peacefully after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Her family would like to thank all the staff at the Holyoke Medical Center, including the Emergency Department, Med/Telly, and ICU for their excellence and compassion. Kay was a life-long resident of South Hadley, graduated from SHHS, and attended Saint Patrick’s Church. Kay loved bowling, the New England Patriots, a good glass of wine and her family. Preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Anna Fearns, her brother Robert Fearns and her son Todd Rosa. She is survived by Arthur Rosa, her daughter Jackie Rosa-Jamieson (Mark) and her son Tracy Rosa (Julie). Her sister, Carla Collins (George) and her grandchildren: Emma, Jeff (Ashley), Mary (Adam), Grace (Jeff), Bailey (Emily), Anna and Tori. Her great-grandchildren: McKenna, Ava, Crue and Myla. She also leaves many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday October 23 at 1:00pm in Saint Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley followed by burial in St. Rose Cemetery, also in South Hadley. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in memory of Kay to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, 25 Carew Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 or to the Special Olympics Massachusetts, 512 Forest Street,Marlborough, MA 01752.
