Kellie Ann (Haradon) Goulding, of Wilbraham, peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family, on August 3, 2022 at the age of 52 after a short and courageous battle with lung cancer.
Kellie was born in Holyoke on April 14, 1970 to her devoted parents Mary (Sheehan) and Warren Haradon. Kellie spent much of her life in Holyoke before moving to Wilbraham to be with her long-term partner Jim “Beetle” Bailey. She was a 1989 graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School, later attending Holyoke Community College where she completed the Ophthalmic Assistant Program.
Kellie spent many years as a stay-at-home mom to her four children: Erin Costa, Melissa, Matthew, and Kelsey Goulding, whom she shared with Scot Goulding. Kellie was an incredibly supportive and outspoken mother who was always very involved in her children's lives. Whether it was coaching, cheering from the sideline, being the president of the PTO, or later in life sharing drinks and laughs around her beloved fire pit, Kellie was always there.
After her kids were all in school Kellie took on a career as an ophthalmic technician at Eyesight and Surgery Associates, and fostered the next generation of ophthalmic technicians as an instructor at local community colleges. Kellie enjoyed the work she did, always taking great pride in caring for her patients with compassion and commitment.
Outside of work Kellie enjoyed spending time with her family; anyone who knew her knew that her family and especially her children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Kellie also enjoyed the company of her partner Jim, particularly cherishing their time spent on the beach in Rhode Island.
Kellie always had a way with words. Her humor, quick wit, proficiency in using sarcasm as a second language, and most of all her fierce personality will be greatly missed. Kellie was, and is, a loved and cherished partner, daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandma or “bumma,” and friend.
Kellie is survived by her parents, Mary and Warren Haradon; the love of her life; Jim Bailey; her children: Erin Costa, Melissa, Matthew and Kelsey Goulding; her grandchildren: Declan Costa, Scarlet Santos, Kayleigh, Ayden and Logan Jackson, and Nathan and Izabella Hanke; her “bonus children:” Scott Dube, Carolina Betancur, Marc Santos, Jackie, Jimmy, Danny and Arey; her siblings, Tracy and Mark Haradon; her sister-in-law, Katherine; her nieces: Amelia and Trish Haradon, and Jordyn Balint; her nephew Brady Balint; and way too many friends and extended family members to list.
The family wishes to thank the doctors at Baystate Wing Hospital and the nurses at Baystate Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed Kellie. The family has a great deal of gratitude for the nurses on the Oncology floor at Baystate Medical Center, especially Leann, Kayla, and Robin, who provided Kellie and her family with an immeasurable amount of love, comfort, and support.
