Kenneth J. (Ken) Williams, age 96, of South Hadley, formerly of Holyoke, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 after a short illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Prentiss and Ada Williams, his wife of 39 years, Mary M. Williams and brother Robert. Ken graduated from Holyoke High School and Vermont Academy. He was a Service Manager at Pickup Dodge and C & C Subaru and retired in 1997. He served our country in the US Navy during World War II. Ken was an avid golfer for over 50 years as a member of the Holyoke Country Club and the Holyoke Lodge of Elks 902. He also enjoyed playing cards at various senior centers, morning coffee with friends, yearly winter trips to Florida and burger nights at Wyckoff Country Club with friends. He is survived by 5 children, John K. Williams, Nancy Bozek (Mark), Anne T. McMahon, Laura Meuselbach (Bob) and John J. McMahon, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He also has a sister Marilyn Wilson and a loving companion Melide Normand and several nieces and nephews. Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to Faith and Michael White and Sue Normand for their loving and compassionate care of our Dad in his final days. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 8:45 - 10:15 am at Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home and a Mass at 11:00 am to be held at St. Patrick’s Church, South Hadley of which he was a longtime member. Burial will follow at St. Jerome’s Cemetery in Holyoke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or the South Hadley Senior Center.
