Kenneth "Ken" G. Kenneally

Kenneth (Ken) George Kenneally, 69, of Holyoke, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, November 22, 2020 surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born in Boston, a son of the late Thomas and Marguerite (Hanley) Kenneally. The first in his family to attend college, Ken was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass) and led a successful business career, retiring from the UMass Office of Information Technology. Ken proudly gave more than 35 years of service to the United States Military (Navy and Air Force), attaining the rank of Master Sergeant, and served in Operation Desert Storm. In his free time, Ken enjoyed being around friends and family, including several close friends from childhood, and many loving cousins. He enjoyed spending time on his family land in Richmond ME, vacationing in Lake Ontario, NY, and traveling throughout the country visiting many national parks. An avid creator, he was quite the handyman with the ability to build and fix just about anything. Ken is survived by four loving children: Christine E. Kenneally and her husband William Bradley of Conway, Katherine M. Kenneally and her partner Ralph Reichle of Austin, TX, Teresa S. Mawdsley and her husband Dylan of Southampton, Thomas J. Kenneally and his partner Emily Groth of Boston, as well as his children’s mother Catherine A. Kenneally of Westhampton; and six grandchildren: Benjamin, Theodore, Lauren, Oliver, Sophia, and one on the way. Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Kenneally. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service for Ken on Saturday, August 14th at 11:45 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, Holyoke. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:45 am. Burial will be private.
