Lillian A. Freniere, aged 90, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024 at Noble Hospital in Westfield, Massachusetts. She was born on June 12, 1933, in Holyoke, to the late Julien and Lea Marquis. She was a proud resident of Holyoke for 87 years and a 1951 graduate of Holyoke High School. She married Robert K. Freniere on May 30, 1956 in Holyoke at Perpetual Help Church. She worked as a stenographer at Prudential Insurance and then the Springfield Armory before becoming a homemaker. Lillian devoted her life to caring for her children and elderly parents, which brought her great joy and fulfillment. Lillian loved playing cards, especially Pitch, and dancing. Lillian was predeceased by her husband of thirty-three years, Robert, and her two brothers, Norman and Roger Marquis. She is survived by her two sons, Robert and his wife Amy of Feeding Hills and Richard and his wife Julie of Naples, Florida; four grandchildren, Richard and his wife Michelle of Needham, Massachusetts, Brian and his wife Angela of Lynnfield, Massachusetts, Andrea Freniere of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts and Scott Freniere and his wife Hayley of Chicopee, Massachusetts; and four great-grandchildren, Meredith, RJ, Charlotte, and Jack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lillian on Monday, March 25th at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church in Holyoke; please meet there. Burial services will be private.
