Linda M. (Larosa) Barry

Linda M. (Larosa) Barry, age 74, of Holyoke, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Mont Marie Health Care Center. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Andrew and Cecile (Manning) Larosa and was educated in the local schools. Linda was employed in the restaurant business for many years, first as Head Waitress at the former Howard Johnson’s Restaurant in Holyoke, and later serving as waitress and manager of Partner’s Restaurant in the Feeding Hills section of Agawam. She enjoyed singing and doing all kinds of ceramics. She had an amazing sense of humor, including pulling pranks. Linda loved animals, especially her own cats and dogs. She was the widow of Joseph G. Barry, who predeceased her on January 9, 2013. Linda is survived by four children: Cheryl Snow of Columbia SC, Michael Barry and his partner Laura Gregoire of Huntington, Thomas Smith and his wife Judy of Springfield, and Gina M. Barry of Holyoke and her partner Ashley Lebrun of Everett; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; her dogs Carter and Millie, and cats Buddy and Bailey. Besides her parents and husband, Linda was predeceased by a brother, Andrew “Butch” Larosa on Feb. 18, 2015, and a son-in-law Charles “Chuck” Snow, Jr. on April 21, 2012. The funeral will be held Thursday, February 9th at 8:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Our Lady of the Cross Parish Church, Holy Cross Avenue. Committal will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday, February 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Joy of Jasper c/o Gina M.
